Anthropic, the AI powerhouse backed by Google, has rolled out its premium Claude Pro chatbot service in both the US and UK. Retailing at $20 or £18 monthly, Claude Pro pledges a smoother experience with priority access, particularly during peak times, while also granting users the privilege of availing new features ahead of the curve.

Subscribers will find their interactions supercharged, being able to send more messages within reduced timeframes. Claude Pro users can dispatch five times more messages than with the free version, around 100 every eight hours, based on Claude's capability.

As the AI chatbot showdown becomes increasingly competitive, Anthropic's move positions it as a direct competitor to industry leading OpenAI’s ChatGPT Plus.
