NEWS
Google’s October 13 rollout brings Gemini 4 Argon to Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers in the Gemini app. This is the broader access that was still forthcoming when Google introduced its limited preview in September.
Move from chat to tasks: a toggle in the main conversation lets Gemini work on assignments, including while you’re away from your computer.
Work across connected apps: Google lists more than 40 connections, including Instacart, OpenTable, Adobe, and Shopify.
Follow longer work: Google says Argon gives more useful progress updates and less repetitive answers.
Developers also get paid API access. The separate Antigravity coding platform requires an Ultra subscription for this model; that is a different access rule from the Gemini app.
Why it matters: a project can move beyond a chain of disconnected questions. Start with a small assignment you can check—such as comparing three documents and drafting a decision table. Decide which apps it needs before connecting them, and review the result before taking action.
TOGETHER WITH CHATFEATURED
From invisible to first in ChatGPT.
Bob's Your Uncle has spent twenty years helping challenger brands win their categories. But when buyers asked ChatGPT about their own category, the agency didn't show up.
With ChatFeatured, their AI visibility went from 7% to 22% in 90 days, and they went from invisible to first in ChatGPT.
They're not the only ones:
Vessel: AI visibility up 2,200%+
SCOJO: AI visibility up 160%
WikiSleep: brand mentions up 113%
ChatFeatured finds the questions where AI leaves you out, writes the content that gets you cited, and reports the lift every week. Your team decides what ships.
Most customers see their first citations inside 7 days.
AI TOOL OF THE DAY
BetterWispr is a free, open-source dictation app for macOS 14 or later. Its built-in speech models run on your Mac; Apple Silicon is recommended. Optional external provider connections change where audio is processed.
Try this three-minute exercise after setup:
Choose local speech. Follow the welcome guide, select a built-in model, and grant microphone and Accessibility permissions. Some models need an initial download.
Open a blank note. Hold Option + Space and dictate a short project update: one thing finished, one blocker, and the next step. Include a name and a deadline you can check.
Release and compare. Read the inserted text against what you intended. Correct a misheard name in History so the app can learn the spelling, then dictate it again.
The useful result: a reviewable first draft in your own words. Check whether cleanup preserved the deadline and the distinction between a plan and a promise. This exercise uses dictation only; it doesn’t need a cloud account or an external AI connection.
4 TRENDING AI TOOLS
Useful discoveries; not all launched this week.
🎬 ngram: turn a brief or screen recording into an explainer video, then revise scenes in conversation. Its V2 workspace is in beta; review the script and production plan before generating.
📖 Mi Speaks: listen to books and PDFs with on-device neural voices. Premium adds Studio Voices; prepare a full document first for uninterrupted Studio playback with the screen locked.
⚙️ Anatomy: an open-source agent skill that turns technical ideas into interactive machine illustrations. Works with Claude Code, Codex, and OpenCode; check that the visual explains the concept accurately.
💬 Littleguys: keep agent conversations and approvals in a Mac menu-bar app. It connects to your existing agents; scheduled jobs for ACP agents run only while the app is open.
NEWS
Meta introduced Muse Wonder and Muse Wonder Full on October 12. The focus is on agents that can carry a task through several steps and retain relevant context between conversations.
Active Memory: Meta says the models can bring back details from earlier conversations when they matter to the current task.
Active Focus: the aim is to work through obstacles, recover from errors, and ask for clarification or check in before important actions.
Access now: Wonder is available through the Meta Model API and Muse Code. Wonder Full is available to Muse Code subscribers.
The consumer rollout is still ahead: Meta says Wonder will come to the Muse app, starting with subscribers. Don’t assume the new models are already behind every Muse conversation.
Why it matters: remembered preferences could make recurring work less repetitive. The practical question is whether the agent keeps the details that remain useful—and recognizes when your requirements have changed.
QUICK AND FRESH
📱 Build an Android app just for yourself. Google’s October 13 rollout lets adults in selected markets, including the US, install personal AI Studio apps through Play with a standard Google account. Sharing with friends and family comes later.
🎛️ Tell Facebook what you want to see. “Your algorithm” is rolling out for Feed and Reels. Open the three-dot menu to describe interests in your own words; Meta says recommendations can adapt within the same session.
🧾 Grok, Cursor, and X share a subscription. The new X Subscription combines the services, but Grok and Cursor draw from one weekly usage pool. Third-party models such as Claude and GPT in Cursor cost extra. Existing customers can keep their current plans.
⌚ Fitbit Edge brings Google’s AI coach to a tracker. Announced October 12, the device is available to preorder and reaches shelves October 27. Google Health Coach requires the separate Premium subscription and internet access; three months are included with purchase.
