A product picture or a quick sketch no longer has to stay still. OpenAI’s November 4 Images 2.6 update adds GIF creation to ChatGPT, turning images into short animations.

  • Start with something recognizable: a drawing, a mascot, or a product image can become a loop for a message or presentation.

  • Keep the motion simple: for a first experiment, try steam rising from an illustrated mug while the cup and background stay still. That gives you a clear result to judge.

  • Check the details: OpenAI says the update improves consistency. Still inspect lettering, edges, and the point where the animation repeats before sharing it.

Access: OpenAI says Images 2.6 is available globally across all ChatGPT and Codex subscription tiers, on web, desktop, and mobile.

Why it matters: a small animated visual can explain a step or add personality to an otherwise ordinary slide. Start with one movement, then decide whether the result communicates more clearly than the original picture.

AI TOOL OF THE DAY
OpusClip 4.0 video editing product visual

OpusClip 4.0, announced November 2, expands beyond finding short clips in longer videos. It can help clean up a talking video, add captions, and reuse editing choices through Recipes.

Try this on a short recording you own:

  1. Upload a 90-second explanation of a simple task, such as repotting a plant. Enable speech cleanup and captions; leave extra visual effects for later.

  2. Watch the draft beside the original. Restore any pause or phrase that changes the meaning. Correct plant names, quantities, and other caption errors.

  3. Check the opening and ending, then export when you’re satisfied. Save a Recipe only after the choices work for this kind of recording.

The goal: one clearer explanation that still sounds like you. This is a suggested exercise, not a claim that every automatic cut will be right.

Access: an account and a paid plan are needed for this editing exercise. The free plan has watermarks and no editing.

4 TRENDING AI TOOLS

Useful discoveries; not all launched this week.

🎬 Kapwing: connect its video editor to a compatible AI assistant for work such as subtitles or dubbing. Custom connector setup and account authorization are required.

🔊 Beamfy: read printed text aloud from a phone photo, with VoiceOver and TalkBack support. Check uncertain readings against the original text.

📱 Instinct: text or call an assistant for errands such as finding groceries or travel options. Review the details before committing to a purchase or booking.

🗂️ AutoShelf: organize Mac files with rules an AI assistant can help configure. Start with a small folder and preview matches before moving anything.

“Where did that money go?” is becoming a question you can ask with account data attached. Anthropic’s November 5 Personal Finance announcement introduces a dedicated space in Claude for reviewing spending.

  • Connect selected accounts: Plaid links supported bank and card accounts. Claude can work with balances and transaction history without seeing your bank password.

  • Ask focused questions: look for recurring charges, compare spending categories, or ask which transactions explain a change. Request the supporting entries so you can check the answer.

  • Keep control: the connection is read-only. Claude cannot move money or make investments, and you can unlink accounts.

Access: the beta is rolling out this week to Pro, Max, and Ultra users in the United States. It is not a worldwide release.

Why it matters: it could make reviewing transactions less tedious. Answers can still be wrong, so compare important figures with your bank. Conversations inside the Personal Finance hub are excluded from model training; conversations elsewhere follow your usual settings.

QUICK AND FRESH

🧳 Airbnb’s AI agent is still ahead. Its November 5 update targets the first half of 2027 for an agent spanning trip planning and booking support. Think maps, comparisons, and itinerary help—not a feature everyone can use today.

💻 Cursor can build live apps. The November 5 release adds hosting, authentication, and optional database support to cloud-agent projects on paid plans. Publishing is an explicit step with security checks; review access before putting an app online.

🔒 GPT-6-Cyber starts with restricted access. OpenAI’s November 5 security model targets vulnerability research. Initial access is for approved Daybreak Red participants through the API and Codex, rather than a general ChatGPT rollout.

🔎 A proof of which model answered. Anthropic’s November 2 FlashProve research prototype explores verifying model inference while protecting model details. Such a proof checks the computation; it does not establish that the answer itself is true.
